These terms apply when you ask Overview Roofing ("we", "us") to quote for or carry out roofing work, and when you use this website. Your written quote forms part of our agreement. If anything in your quote differs from these terms, the quote applies. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Inspections, quotes and prices

  • Roof inspections and quotes are free and carry no obligation.
  • Online estimates based on photos are a guide only. We confirm the price in a written quote after inspecting the roof.
  • A quote is valid for the period stated on it. Prices "from" on this website are starting prices, not quotes.
  • If we find hidden problems once work starts, such as rotten timbers under the tiles, we'll show you, explain the options and agree any extra cost with you before doing more work.

Payment

  • No deposit. We don't ask for any payment before or during the work.
  • Payment on completion. You pay the agreed price when the work is finished, using the payment methods shown on your invoice.

Your right to cancel

  • If you agree to work at your home or away from our premises, or by phone, email or online, you have 14 days from the day you agree to cancel without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
  • To cancel, tell us clearly by phone, email or letter before the 14 days are up. You can use the form below, but you don't have to.
  • If you ask us to start within the 14 days and then cancel, you'll pay only for the work done up to the point you told us. If the work is finished within the 14 days at your request, the right to cancel ends.
  • The right to cancel doesn't apply to urgent repairs you ask us to come out and do straight away, such as emergency weatherproofing after storm damage.
  • Because we take no deposits, there's normally nothing to refund. If you have paid anything and cancel within your rights, we'll refund it within 14 days.

Carrying out the work

  • We'll agree a start date with you. Roofing depends on the weather, so we may need to move dates for safety or quality. We'll keep you informed.
  • Please give us safe access to the property and let us know about anything that could affect the work, such as fragile areas, pets or parking.
  • We leave the site clean and tidy.

Guarantees

Our flat roofs come with both a material and a labour warranty. Any guarantee for your job, and how long it lasts, is set out in your written quote. Guarantees don't cover damage from storms beyond normal weather, other people's work, or lack of maintenance such as blocked gutters. They're in addition to your legal rights.

Our responsibility to you

  • We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If something isn't right, tell us and we'll put it right. If we can't, you may be entitled to some or all of your money back.
  • We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

If you're not happy, please contact us on 0330 633 5952 or at info@overviewroofing.net, and we'll do our best to sort it out quickly. If we can't resolve a complaint between us, we'll tell you about an independent dispute resolution service. As we're Checkatrade members, you can also contact Checkatrade for help.
